Clear + Brilliant and Permea Lasers are approved medical fractional laser technologies for the effective resurfacing, lightening, brightening and rejuvenating of skin. What it treats: C&B laser is excellent for both improving skin texture through collagen generation and Permea clarifies the complexion by destroying unevenly pigmented skin cells. They are used separately, with superb results, to minimize acne scars, reduce hyperpigmentation, and smooth the skin on the face, neck and décolletage. This laser is one of the most popular in the US.
Clear + Brilliant can be used exclusively or as a complementary treatment with other dermatological procedures, and is suitable for men and women of all skin types.
Utilizing proven proprietary fractional laser science and technology, the Clear + Brilliant laser creates an array of microscopic lesions across the surface of the skin with each pass of the handpiece. The patented pattern of lesions is created by the Intelligent Optical Tracking System (IOTS®) enclosed within the handpiece. This patented technology creates an unparalleled even pattern on the skin – microscopic lesions that are surrounded by large areas of healthy skin – to help promote quick healing with little or no social downtime. The healthy skin helps turn over the tiny lesions in a matter of days, revealing the fresh, smoother, healthier glowing skin below.
Unlike other conventional lasers that use a stamping delivery method, the Clear + Brilliant laser has been optimized to maximize patient comfort while still providing an effective and powerful fractional laser treatment. It features a patented delivery system that ensures consistent and uniform coverage. Each treatment is non-ablative (meaning the outer skin surface remains intact), which translates into a safe, low risk treatment that heals quickly and is convenient for the patient.
C&B Laser rejuvenates the skin from the inside out to allow healthy, younger-looking skin to surface. After anaesthetic application, treatments take about 20 minutes per session, after which there is little downtime and very few mild side effects such as redness and oedema and you can apply makeup immediately after and continue with your daily activities without risk to the skin.
Optimal results: You may need from 3 to 6 sessions – more if you have aged skin. Downtime following this procedure is minimal with only 10 to 11 hours required for the redness to subside, followed by 1 to 2 days of pinkness. Dry, rough and scaly skin increasingly surfaces within 3 to 4 days. Patients typically return to the Clinic for a deep exfoliation and Oxygen facial to complete the process.
What C&B Laser treats: If your complexion is unevenly toned and pigmented, chances are good that it will clarify very successfully. Post-treatment, light skin types’ skin may be slightly pink for 2 to 5 days and hyperpigmented (brown) areas may get darker for up to 4 to 7 days, which then crust and peel off.
