At LAB Skin & Aesthetics Neutral Bay, we use Fluorescent Technology Dye laser from ALMA to target vascular and pigmented lesions. The state
of the art cool-touch laser destroys the unwanted pigmentation and broken capillaries without damaging the skin. The shattered pigmentation and coagulated capillaries will then be disposed of by the body’s natural immune system reaction in the following 2-3 weeks.
This treatment is a safe and effective way to treat sun spots, pigmentation, broken capillaries and rosacea.
In Vascular lesions (spider veins, Telangiectasias) the haemoglobin is our target. The hemoglobin absorbs the light emitted from the laser, the light then converts to heat creates blood coagulation which results in the vessel collapsing and clotting. The vessel will disappear or eventually fade over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many treatments will I need to treat pigmentation, rosacea, broken facial veins and capillaries?
4-6 fortnightly sessions are required depending on the skin condition.
The narrow band wavelength from this laser will create a controlled heat in deeper skin layers which leads to fibroblast activation and promotes collagen and elastin production for a more youthful skin.
What to expect?
The treatment is relatively comfortable with minimal downtime. When treating pigmentation, there will be some darkening of the pigmented lesions immediately after treatment and the lesions will scab off gradually resulting in a faded spot which will disappear after few more sessions.
For vascular lesions, redness, and rosacea some small veins disappear immediately after first treatment and some other will reduce in size and diameter and eventually disappear with further treatment.
Results using IPL
This treatment will result in more even skin tone and clearance of pigmented lesions, significantly reduced vascularity and redness in rosacea skin, reduction in lines and wrinkles and a firmer more elastic skin (due to increased collagen and elastin production).
